My name is Laurie. I have been married to my amazing husband, Ross, for 12 years. I am the mother of 2 kind-hearted children, 3 crazy dogs and a goldfish. We have resided in Salt Lake City, Utah for about 2 1/2 years. Previously, we were in Houston, Texas for about 8 years… and before that we were in Colorado. I have moved a lot, but Colorado is where I call home. Where will we go next? Who knows…
I have a generous and very creative daughter, Adrian, who is 8. She is a dancer, having started dance classes when she was 3. She takes tap and ballet and loves them both. Last December she was in Utah Regional Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker as a Cookie. She loved it and hopes to get a part again this year. She is an amazing little jewelry maker. Really. Some of her work blows me away, and I can’t wait to see how her work will grow as she does.
I also have a spirited and very witty son, Jonah, who is 6. He has an orange belt in Kenpo Karate. He started when he was almost 4, and has a lot of fun with it. He likes to dance and has taken ballet for just over a year now. He was also cast in URB’s Nutcracker as the Nephew. He had so much fun that he, too, hopes to get a part in it again, this year. Jonah loves Star Wars. I’d say he’s obsessed. He loves Legos. And Lego Star Wars? On the Wii?!? I have to drag him away!
All of our dogs are rescues (I wouldn’t have any other kind). Belle is our grouchy old lady. She is a 6 year old Beagle-Coonhound. She is a princess who seems very annoyed that she is a dog and not a person. Jango is our middle child. She is a 3 year old Daschund-Labrador. Yes, that is right. She’s our little Labra-Schnitzel! Then there is Ruby. She is our 2 year old Chihuahua-Pug. She is the most adorable little dog, with the attitude of a Pitt Bull!
